Based on a true story. This award-winning black comedy that chronicles a now-recovering alcoholic’s last night of drinking.
This one made it to ‘personal fave’ status for a few reasons. It was an art film that was made with friends and with passion (I proudly served as Executive Producer), it was a Sundance winner (up against 1,600 other films that year), and when the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City hosted an exhibit showcasing the ten most-important Sundance winning films, they selected ‘Man About Town’ to open the event. Opening night at the MoMA goes down as one of the most memorable night’s of my career. Three people spoke that night… The president of MoMa, Robert Redford, and myself.
